BRIEF HISTORY OF STGC
Soil Tech Global Corporation is a recently established geotechnical firm specializing in cutting-edge hydraulic fed drilling rigs in the Philippines. The company was established in May 2022, and its inaugural project in the Philippines was the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network Project – Phase 1, spanning from Lower Bicutan, Taguig, to Calamba, Laguna.

We are conducting various geotechnical investigations for construction developments simultaneously, including surface exploration, drilling, and laboratory testing to identify the characteristics of the ground. We offer geotechnical drilling for both onshore and offshore set-ups.

As for our offshore set-up, we primarily used pontoon. The pontoon is composed of 3 segments. The left and right segments have the dimensions of 8.3 meters (length) by 2.3 meters (width) by 0.63 meter (height). The middle segment has the dimension of 8.3 meters (length) by 2.2 meters (width) by 0.63 meter (height).
Each segment of the pontoon is consisted of Styrofoam that serve as its floating mechanism. The pontoon contains legs (spuds) that allows the platform to be firm and steady in its position. This is to lessen or avoid the effects of tides and waves during drilling operation.
SOIL AND MATERIAL TESTING LABORATORY
In our laboratory, we meticulously conduct comprehensive soil and rock testing to unveil the intricate details of subsurface materials. Through a series of specialized analyses, we explore the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of soil and rock samples. Our testing procedures provide valuable insights into factors such as composition, density, moisture content, shear strength, and permeability.
These results play a crucial role in informing engineering decisions, ensuring the integrity and stability of structures in various construction and geological contexts. LAGUNA LAKESHORE ROAD NETWORK (LLRN) – PHASE 1 (G.I. 2)
With a main alignment of 37.60 kilometers, the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network Project, Phase I includes eight (8) interchanges in Sucat, Alabang, Tunasan, San Pedro/Binan, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, and Calamba.
This two-lane primary road is made up of an 11.80-kilometer viaduct connecting Lower Bicutan to Muntinlupa and a 25.80-kilometer combination of onshore viaduct and embankment connecting Muntinlupa to Calamba.
The field investigation for LLRN Phase-1 (G.I. 2) contains three hundred eight (308) boreholes and fourteen (14) lateral load tests.
